Marlborough – T. Richard Canavan, 55, died suddenly Friday, April 8, 2005
at University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Worcester.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Thomas R. Canavan and Mary
(Hart) Canavan who died April 12, 2004.
A resident of Marlborough for three years, he was previously of Medway.
Mr. Canavan was an administrator for Polaroid Corporation where he had
worked for many years. One of his greatest joys was antiqueing with his
mother.
He is survived by his former wife, Christine (Greathead) Chasse of Lenox; a
son, Richard C. Canavan of Marlborough; a daughter, Stephanie A. Canavan
of Worcester; brothers, William Hart Canavan and his wife Kathleen of
Bellingham and David Gerard Canavan of Maine; sisters, Sheila Canavan and
her husband Michael Chandler of Moab, Utah and Westport Island, Maine,
Rosemary Orth of Novato, CA and Mary Louise Canavan and her life
partner, Caron Potts of Hyannis; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 13 at 10:00
a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will follow in
the family lot in Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16
Holliston, www.chesmorefuneralhome.com, will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00
p.m.
