Robert “Bob” Daniel Krasnoff, lovingly known as Poppy; passed away on November 15, 2016 at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Judy Krasnoff (Ash), the love of his life, along with his daughter Jane Podsen and husband Ken, granddaughter Laurel, Tim Ross and their daughter Emma; daughter Margie Lubanko and husband David, granddaughter Rachel and Andrew Machado, granddaughter Valerie Doherty and husband Mark; son Steven and wife Lisa, grandchildren Max, Debbie, and Katie; brother-in-law Melvin Ash and wife Adele.

Bob was born on July 14, 1924, in Springfield, MA, the loving son of Charles and Sayde (Puklin) Krasnoff. He served as a medic in the Navy in World War II. He met his wife at Syracuse University and married in 1949. They lived in Framingham for 45 years and raised their 3 children before moving to Holliston to their son’s home for the next 15 years.  They were active members of Temple Beth Shalom in Framingham, where Bob was president in the earlier years, and were very involved in their community with a large group of close-knit friends.

Bob owned “The Wardrobe” in downtown Framingham for 28 years and then worked as a business broker. He was an avid golfer, an accomplished jazz saxophone player and enjoyed traveling the world.

Bob’s family wishes to express their gratitude toward staff at Cornerstone Assisted Living in Milford and the Genesis Milford Center for their kindness, compassion, and support over the past 2 years.

There will be a private burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Donations may be made in memory of Robert Krasnoff at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA. 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life on November 20, anytime from 1pm – 4 pm, at 80 Greenview Drive, Holliston, MA.
