Leicester-
Paul R. Coleman, 75, of The Meadows in Leicester, formerly of Holliston, passed away peacefully following a brief illness, on Tuesday, February 21st, surrounded by his family. Born in Wellesley, he was the son of the late Harold T. and Laura A. (Murphy) Coleman. His wife was the late Ruth (Grant) Coleman who passed away in 2003.

He leaves 2 daughters, Diane E. Coleman, and her friend William Dill of Milford, and Joanne L. Jones an her husband Alan of Sturbridge. 1 brother, Thomas D. Coleman of Croton-on- Hudson, NY. He leaves one stepson, Edward L. Newman of Douglas, 5 grandchildren, Lindsay, Allison, and William Jones all of Sturbridge, Joy Newman of Holliston, and Jennifer Arruda of New Bedford, and a great-grandson Leo Newman.

Mr. Coleman graduated from Wellesley High School and lived in Holliston for many years. He was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked for Stop and Shop until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Holliston Baptist Church . An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Patriots, but his favorite team was the Boston Red Sox.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24th at 12:00p.m. in the Chesmore Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Batten. Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Friday, February 24th from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home in Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Baptist Church of Holliston, 40 High St. Holliston, MA. 01746
