So sorry to hear about the passing of Paul. Just a hustler on the ice with a go get'm attitude. Thoughts and prayers

To the family Words cannot expressed how deeply sorry I am for your lost. It brings sadness in my heart when I hear another individual has fallen asleep in death. But from what I know is that we have a loving God whose name is Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18). Jehovah God loves us all and He also suffered the same amount of pain and sadness that you are all experiencing. But one thing that Jehovah God can do that we cannot is bring back our love ones. John 5: 28, 29 says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." Yes, Jehovah will send his son Jesus Christ to resurrect all our loves ones where we all can live on a paradise earth forever! Please, don't think this is just a mere fantasy dream. Jehovah will carry this out. He is a God of love. (1 John 4:8) I know the pain still hurts but please, keep Jehovah God close to you to help you endure. I've attached an online tract from our website jw.org called "Can the Dead Really Live Again?" with scriptural information to support that question. This information and more could hopefully help you as you grieve. Again, I'm sorry for your lost; Please feel free to reach out if possible. My condolences to the family. https://www.jw.org/finder?pub=t-35&wtlocale=E&srcid=share

Very sad news...Paul was an outstanding soccer player...driven to be the best and put the time and effort into doing just that. Prayers and thought for Paul, his family and friends.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to the Erskine family. There's such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. I'd like to share some scriptural thoughts that really helps me. Prayer is so valuable at this time but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort (Ps.83:18) be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.
