Patricia Ann ( Hawkes) Marchand, 80, died peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2016. She is survived by her five children Jeff Marchand of Wolfeboro, NH and his wife Beth; Susan Marchand of Marlborough; Joanna Marchand of Newburyport and her husband Mike; Paula Goudsmit of Natick, and Eric Marchand of Holliston; six grandchildren who she adored, and many close friends; brothers Richard Hawkes, Frederick Allen Hawkes, and sister Carole Hill; pre-deceased by brother Robert Hawkes.

Born and raised in Newburyport, she was a resident of Holliston for 52 years. After retiring from Kendall Corporation, she spent the last 20 years providing home childcare for several wonderful families throughout the local area. Pat had a passion for gardening, cooking, decorating and being by the ocean, notably on Plum Island. Her love of teaching aerobics and staying active was a very important aspect of her life. All who knew her enjoyed her quick wit and lively sense of humor.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, August 5 at Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St, Holliston, MA from 3–5 pm. A Mass will be offered in her memory on Sunday, August 28, 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations welcome to Holliston in Bloom http://www.hollistoninbloom.org/support.html and the Holliston Pantry Shelf http://www.hollistonpantryshelf.org/donate.html.
