Holliston – Norman L. Anderson, 65, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at his
home following a long illness.
He was the husband of Quinta (Hake) Anderson. They had been married for 38
years.
Born in Ridgewood, NJ, he was the son of the late Olav and Martha Susan F.
(Boxheimer) Anderson. He had been a resident of Holliston for 23 years.
He was a graduate of Northwestern Kellogg Business School. He was the owner
of the Anderson Travel Service, Inc. of Holliston. A very active member of
Christ the King Lutheran Church of Holliston, he served as director of the
parish choir and was a life member, along with his wife he was a youth group
advisor for 15 years, helped build the outdoor Pine Chapel and was chair
person in 1987 of the building committee for the new sanctuary and
classrooms. Mr. Anderson was a North American Rail Road Historian, member
of the Association of Rail Road Passengers, Burlington Root Historical
Society, Train Collectors Association, Northwestern Kellogg Business School
Alumni and Holliston Historical Society.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kirsten McAuliffe and her
husband Geoff of Holliston and two grandchildren, Abigail and Kells
McAuliffe.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ the
King Lutheran Church, 600 Central St., Holliston. Burial will follow in
Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston. Calling hours, at the church, will be
Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
