Mildred E. (Guetzlaff) Larsen, 88, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday January 20, 2018.  She was the wife of Howard Larsen to whom she was married for 66 years.  She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Theodore and Viola (Herbst) Guetzlaff and lived in Hopkinton for 34 years.

Mrs. Larsen was an accomplished pianist and a highly skilled artist.  She was also an avid tennis player.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons; Dr. Thomas Larsen and his wife, Debora of Forest, VA; John Larsen and his wife, Denise of Charlton, Jeffrey Larsen and his wife, Anne of Groton; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St. Hopkinton, MA.  Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Hopkinton.  An hour of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham MA 02452.
