Mary “Pat” (Burke) Blanchette, 84, of Holliston, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born in Dorchester, MA on Nov 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Evelyn (Sullivan) Burke. She was the wife of Robert Joseph Blanchette of Holliston.

Pat moved to Holliston with family in 1940, first on Prentice Street, which is now the Country Club. She later moved to East Holliston where she married Robert and they raised their 5 sons.

Pat graduated from Holliston High School and Burdette College and worked as a secretary at Liberty Mutual and Westinghouse. After her youngest son John was in school she enjoyed her work in the elementary school cafeteria until the mid-90’s.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Bobby and his wife Gail, Tom and his wife Linda, Jimmy and his wife Wendy, Larry and his wife Donna, and John Paul; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings, John Burke and his wife Joan, Dorothy Brooks, Robert Burke and his wife Cynthia, Margaret and her husband Peter Fish, Richard Burke and his wife Rivelle Sutton Burke, Peter Burke and his wife Joan and Nancy and her husband Kevin FitzGerald. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, her two cherished God-daughters, Pamela Torpey and Terry Drew, and many cousins and friends. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Ann Burke and is predeceased by brothers Paul Jr. and Charles, and brother-in-law Richard Brooks.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10th from 1-4p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 11th at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
