John, Ron Olando and I go back many years. We played in several bands in the early 70's and I have fond memories of the all. John and an amazingly rangy voice and there was no note he couldn't reach. Loved his voice, his organ playing and insane sense of humor. He was one sweet guy. My best to Judy and family.

In 4th grade I had to get my mother to walk me to school because I was afraid of John Rizoli. Years later we became bandmates in Witch and Moonfast. He had the most amazing singing voice and made the B3 sound like heaven. We traveled to hundreds of gigs together delivered thousands of chairs for Joe so we could get free rental trucks, and played countless clubs and shows. We went to the gym and ate bad things. One night racing to a gig we narrowly missed a collision with an 18 wheeler. All we could do was look at each other in disbelief that we were still alive. Funniest, most loving, hard working and charming dude you will ever meet. Glad we had a chance to spend one more night seeing Inky and Doug and remembering old times together. As Springsteen says in Terry’s Song; “When the built you brother, they broke the mold”. Gonna miss you Johnny. RIP my brother and my deepest condolences to Judy and the family.
