HOLLISTON — John F. “Jack” Moore, 72, a lifelong resident of Holliston, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation in Milford.

He was the husband of Nancy (Chesmore) Moore. They were married for 47 years.

He was the son of the late Jerome and Mary (Driscoll) Moore.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

A carpenter by trade, he was a member of Local 40 Carpenters Union. He was a former employee of the Holliston Water and Highway Department.

Mr. Moore was a member of the Holliston Call Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of the Holliston American Legion Post 47, American Legion Disabled Post and Disabled American Veterans.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Shawn Moore and his wife, Denise, of Holliston and Jerome Moore of Westminster; a daughter, Nancy Jillson of Leominster; two brothers, David Moore and his wife, Ann, and Robert Moore, all of Holliston; a sister, Mary Blair and her husband, Everett, of Holliston; and five grandchildren, Lindsay, Vanessa and Trevor Jillson, and Alyssa and Bryce Moore.

He was the father of the late Sheryl (Moore) Souther and brother of the late Anne (Moore) Wise.

Funeral services will be private on Monday, Jan. 30.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Holliston.
