James F. Bowen III

BOWEN, James F. of Norfolk, MA on February 8, 2019. Jim was the beloved husband of Kate Bowen, father to the late Ryan Bowen, and brother to Patricia Betts (John) of Plymouth, MA. He also leaves two stepchildren who he happily and successfully helped guide into adulthood: Jason M. Green (Jennifer) of Holliston, MA and Amanda J. Mitchell (Kenneth) of Hopedale, and two nieces. “Grampy’s” journey into heaven is comforting the hearts of his four cherished grandchildren: Riley and Joseph Green, and Eliza and Eleanor Mitchell, where they are sure he will once again pick up a golf club, baseball glove, and ball.

A proud native of St. Brendan’s Parish in Dorchester and veteran sales leader, Jim led sales teams at Nortel Networks and ADT while always finding time to satiate his passion for golf and Boston sports.

Funeral services will be private. Donations in Jim’s name and memory can be made to Dr. Brad Dickerson’s Dementia Research Program in the Massachusetts General Hospital Frontotemporal Disorders Unit. Your gifts will support the clinical care and research efforts for individuals living with early onset dementias: https://Giving.MassGeneral.org/FTDUnit.

Checks can be made payable to “MGH Dr. Dickerson Lab” with a check memo: “Alzheimer’s Research” and Jim’s name. Mail to Brad Dickerson, MD, Attn: Raseeka Premchander, 149 13thStreet, Suite 2691, Charlestown, MA 02129.
