Hopkinton – George H. Wright, 68, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
He was the husband of Ellen (O’Connell) Wright.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Leonard S. and Anna (Putnam)Wright.

Mr. Wright was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had served at the Hickam
Air Base in Hawaii. He was a life long resident of Hopkinton and had served the Town of Hopkinton on traffic, cable and personnel committees. He was the volunteer photographer for the new Police Station and had also been the recording
photographer for Hopkinton’s 275th Anniversary. He was a member of the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion Post 202 of Hopkinton He had been the transportation coordinator for the SMOC Head Start program for more than 10 years as well as photographing and video taping weddings.
He also provided training videos for EMC. Mr. Wright was an avid gardener and a “back yard engineer”.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Timothy, Gregory and Kevin; a brother, Fred “Ted” Wright of Great Barrington; sisters, Eunice Putnam and Harriet Mickerson, both of Cape Cod, Dorothy Bosquet of CT, Virginia Hatch
of Wells, Maine and Elizabeth Sadlon of Webster; grandchildren, Jaime, Justin, Dan, Kayla, Shannon and Dana Wright all of Hopkinton and his former wife Mary (Johnson) Clark of Hopkinton. At Mr. Wright’s request he will be cremated and there are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March13 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, East Main St., Hopkinton. The Rev. Mark High, pastor of the Woodville Baptist Church, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden
Rowe Street, Hopkinton. Donations in Mr. Wright’s memory may be made to the Woodville Baptist Church, Post Office Box 155, Woodville, MA 01784.
