Medway-

Gary Lee Miller, 74, of Medway, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Medway Country Manor. Born in Doniphan, MO. he was the son of the late Royce and Lucina Miller. He was the husband of Carole (Meyer) Miller of Medway.

Gary attended the University of Missouri Columbia, where his met his wife Carole of 52 years. Gary received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He worked for Ford Motor Company in St. Louis, MO, and was soon transferred to Boston, MA, where he furthered his career in banking. Gary had a passion for cooking, boating on Lake Winnipesauke and golf. He enjoyed spending his winters with Carole, for the last 16 years, at their home in Bonita Springs, FL. He was a funny guy with a dry sense of humor and he always got a kick out of telling a good joke. Gary will be missed but a little bit of him will remain in all of us.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Stephanie Schmalenberger and her husband Ken, Michael Miller and his wife Christine, and Melanie Coakley and her husband Richard, all of Medway. He also leaves his brother in law, Dennis Alyward of Hastings, NE, and his sister in law, Patricia Perrin and her husband Andy of Richardson, TX. He was the cherished Grandpa “G” and “Peepaw” of Ali, Nichole, Caitlin, Julia, William, Katie, Matthew, Meghan, Michael and Madison, and Tadarius Randolph. He also leaves many nieces and a nephew. He is predeceased by his sister, Joyce Alyward.

There will be no visitation. A private family service and burial will be held in Sherborn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, www. Alz.org Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
