Medway – Evangeline “Tina” Wiley, 94, died Sept. 10, 2003 at her home with
her family at her side.
She was the wife of the late Earle T. Wiley who died in 1966. They had been
married for 33 years.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Bert and Ella (Schube) Talbert.
Formerly of Hopkinton she had been a resident of Medway since 1975.
She was a member of the Framingham Chapter of DAR, the Hopkinton Historical
Society and the Cub Scouts which she had been a Den Mother of for many
years. Mrs. Wiley was the first woman to teach woodworking to girls with
the 4 H Club. She enjoyed writing poetry, painting, the culinary arts, and
traveling. She had won first prize many times in the Hopkinton Horribles
Parade.
She is survived by her son, Winthrop Wiley of Medway; daughters, Enid Parker
of Ashland, Faith (Goodwin) Howarth of Northboro and Naomi Wiley of
Eastpoint, MI, 11 grandchildren; 23 grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chesmore
Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton
The Rev. Ernest Batten will officiate. Burial will be private. Calling
hours will be held prior to the funeral service on Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00
p.m.
