Enrico Ferriero, 78, of Holliston, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at his home surrounded by family. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Angelo and Maria (Viaggio) Ferriero, he was also the husband of Margaret (Shivick) Ferriero of Holliston.

Enrico was a Navy veteran of WW II in N. Africa serving on the USS Arkansas and USS Independence and a vetreran of Vietnam serving in DaNang. He was an active member of the VFW of Holliston and of the Holliston Senior Center and was also a current member of the Bricklayers and allied craftsman local 3 of Boston and in the early 1950’s was the president of the local 18 of Boston.

Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by four sons, John of Holliston, Thomas of Needham, Robert of Medway and Richard Ferriero of Wrentham, 1 daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Ippolito of Littleton. 2 sisters, Mary Disantis of Brighton, and Christine Miceli of Cambridge. 9 grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Nicole, Gregory, James, David, Jessica, Torey, and Natalie. He is pre-deceased by a sister Angelina Mora and a brother Mario.

Visitation hours will be on Friday, February 6, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Holliston. From 5-8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 10:00am. Burial of ashes will take place at Bourne National Cemetery at a later date.
