Holliston-

Eleanor M. Harmon, 83, of Holliston, passed away September 16, 2016. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Nora (Carroll) and Robie Thorne. She was the wife of the late Thomas Harmon who passed away in 2011.

Eleanor was a Wayland High School graduate and had worked at Raytheon and after spending many years home with her children, she went to work at the Congregational Church in Holliston. She enjoyed time spent with her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved visiting the beaches of Cape Cod and she was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Caryl Rice and her husband Richard of Gilbertville, MA, Julie Harmon and her companion Paul Dube of Holliston, Cameron Harmon of Orleans, MA; her sisters, Priscilla Wilson of NH, Marian Colameta and her husband Joseph of Everett, and Carolyn Brumber of Holliston. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Jeremey Harmon and his companion, Niki Stevens, Nikki Rice, Richard Rice and his wife Sarah A. Rice, Jenna Rice, Sarah Rice, and Christopher Rice; as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Drew, Riley, Carter, Grayson, and Kolby, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Linda Harmon, who passed away in 1998, as well as her siblings, Robert Thorne, Dorris Longtine, and Alice Moran.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22nd from 4-7p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. (Rt. 16) www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A private graveside service will be held with the family at a later date.
