Hopkinton – Clara L. Wright, 93, died Nov. 16, 2004 at St. Camillus Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Walter T. Wright who died in 1990, they had been married for
34 years.
Born in Lisbon, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Angie (Barnes)
White.
She graduated from Lisbon High School.
She resided in Hopkinton since 1956.
She worked as a maid/housekeepr after high school. She then worked as a waitress in area
restaurants. She became a licensed practical nurse in 1958, worked at Westborough State
Hospital, Cushing Hospital in Framingham, and several rest homes in the Framingham
area.
She was married to Edwin A. Thompson for 25 years when he died in 1963.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan A. (Thompson) Taft and her husband, Richard, of
Uxbridge; Emily A. Stone and her husband, Ronald of South Grafton; four grandchildren;
Ruth L Migneault of South Grafton, Karlene Davison of Northborough;, LuAnn Berte of
Northborough, and Paul M. Peterson, Jr. of Millis, eight great grandchildren and six great
great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Edwin Abby Thompson who died in
1937 at age 2 and William George Thompson, died in 1946 at age 3.
The funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational
Church, East Main St., Hopkinton. Rev. Richard Monstur will officiate. Burial will follow
in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton.
Calling hours, at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton will be
Wed. Nov. 24 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
