Holliston-

Clara Mazzenga, 103, of Holliston, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Bellardinelli) and Pasquale DiBona. She was the wife of the late Anthony Mazzenga.

Clara was a recipient of the Boston Post Cane award for being the oldest Holliston resident. She had worked in the Linen Department at Jordan Marsh for 30 years and also worked with her son at NEPG, Inc. in Holliston. She enjoyed frequent trips to Italy visiting her relatives and took pleasure in spending time with her family, cooking, and knitting. Clara was well loved at the Timothy Daniels House.

Clara is survived by her son, Gerald A. Mazzenga and his wife Nancy of Holliston, her daughter, Marie Furlong (and her husband the late George Furlong) of Florida and Eastham, MA; 7 grandchildren, James and Laura Moore, Toni Ventresca, Barbara Koshivas, and Ann, Jeremy and Elizabeth Mazzenga. She also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren,  Jessica, Jaime, Kristina, Anthony, Matthew, John and Tory, and the late Brian Moore. She outlived her siblings, Lucy Mazzenga, Anthony, Lawrence and Nello DiBona.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13th from 4-7p.m.at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14th at 10:00a.m.  in St. Stephen’s Church of Framingham. Burial will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Timothy Daniels House Activities Fund, 84 Elm St. Holliston, MA 01746.
