Ashland/Framingham-

Beatrice Waters, 85, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family, on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Oak Knoll in Framingham. Born on September 18,1932 in Meredith, NH, she was the daughter of the late Clara Merrill and William O’Brien.

Beatrice graduated from Everett High School in Everett, MA in 1950. She defined diligence and perseverance as she raised her five children in Massachusetts, while working full time. Beatrice continued to be a back bone of her family as she helped support and raise her grandchildren. She was devoted to caring for and loving her family unconditionally. Her hard work and strength to grow and support her family will always have a lasting impression on those she raised, loved, and cared for. Beatrice will always be remembered for her compassion, quick witt, and smile that could light up a room. She was a strong leader, loving woman and  the founder of a family that remains proud and privileged to have loved her.

She is survived by her children, Donna Allwood and her late husband, Joseph, Laura Carreiro and her husband,  Joe , Mickey Waters (predeceased) and his wife, Elizabeth, David Waters and his wife, Judy, and Debra Fitzgerald and her husband, Thomas. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Her family will be having a private celebration of Beatrice’s long and happy life. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com
