Holliston-

Barbara Marie Dow, 81, of Holliston, passed away after a long period of declining health on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Navashinskas) Strzesak and John Joseph Noonan. She was the wife of 50 years to the late Leonard Francis Dow.

A resident of Holliston since 1968, Barbara was an active participant and long time volunteer at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. She was a decades long member of the Mr. and Mrs. Club, as well as the Catholic Women’s Guild, and a contributor to the St. Mary’s Newsletter. Barbara had also worked in the Holliston Tax office for 5 years.

Barbara is survived by 7 children, Leonard Dow Jr. of Ashland, Leslie Audy and her husband, Jack of Medfield, Karen Hansen and her husband, Michael of Medway, David Dow and his wife, Colleen of Foxboro, James Dow and his wife, Robyn of Stafford, VA, Kelly Day and her husband, John of Holliston, and Mary Hupfer and her husband, Michael of Holliston. She also leaves behind her sister, Diane Strzesak of Tuscon, AZ; her niece, Debbi Ryan of Sonoma, CA, 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth Cunningham and Frank Strzesak.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 708 Washington St. Holliston, MA 01746 or to the MSPCA, mspca.org
