Upton – Barbara Mae McAdams, 74, formerly of Holliston, died Saturday,
February 12, 2005 at the Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge.
She was the wife of George G. McAdams, they were married for 58 years.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice
(Little) Trenholm and step-daughter of the late Viola (Baker) Trenholm.
She had been a resident of Holliston for forty years prior to moving in 2000 to
Marlborough and then to Upton.
Mrs. McAdams had been a waitress many years and worked for Speroni’s of
Medway, Pete’s of Holliston, and as a kitchen dietary assistant for
Framingham Union Hospital.
She was a volunteer for the Holliston Pantry Shelf and an avid spectator of
her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. In 1997 she and her
husband renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary at the Fatima
Shrine in Holliston.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, George A. McAdams and
his wife Joan of Holliston, Edward F. McAdams and his wife Faith of
Holliston, Brian P. McAdams and his wife Lynn of Ashland, Jeffrey S.
McAdams and his wife Kimberly of Holliston; grandchildren, Ryan, Erin,
Julia, Clinton, Heather, Jordan, Derek, Lucas, Casey and Skyler.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 17 at
10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Washington St., Holliston. Burial will
follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the
Chesmore Funeral Home, 854 Washington St., Route 16, Holliston.
